The Dallas Mavericks’ offseason has been on fire recently, as they acquired Klay Thompson in a sign-and-trade deal, signed Naji Marshall, and traded for Quentin Grimes.
Adding one of the greatest shooters ever along with two significant rotation players has been a huge boost, and Thompson is especially eager to start. He chose the Mavs for a fresh start, turning down a more lucrative and longer offer from the Lakers.
Thompson is focused on winning his fifth ring. However, the Mavs faced a setback when Kyrie Irving broke his left-hand yesterday.
Kyrie Irving Provides Update on Broken Hand
Irving, who stayed healthy through Dallas’ playoff run, now has some time to recover before the next season. There is hope he will return by training camp, and he shared an update on X last night.
Tribe, Thank you for all the messages and prayers. GOD truly knew that I needed to take a break from Basketball after the long season and give myself some time to heal.
I am in love with getting better at my craft, but now I must rest and recover.Hélà🤞🏾♾🪶

Irving thanked fans for their messages and prayers, stating, “GOD truly knew that I needed to take a break from Basketball after the long season and give myself some time to heal.” He expressed his love for improving his game but acknowledged the need to rest and fully recover.
Despite the injury, Irving remains positive and honest about needing rest after the season. He played every game in the playoff run and was healthy for the final two months of the season.
Although losing Irving for much of the offseason is a blow, it’s better now than during the season. The Mavs saw how close they were to winning the NBA Finals last season and are determined to return to that point next season.
For the latest updates on Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks throughout the offseason, stay tuned.
