Two Padres Standouts Receive Prestigious MLB Honors

Two San Diego Padres prospects will represent the organization in the 2024 All-Star Futures Game next Saturday. Ethan Salas and Robby Snelling will be showcasing their talents in this event, which highlights top prospects from minor league affiliates across the league.

Salas, the Padres’ highest-ranked prospect and No. 6 on MLB.com’s Top 100 Prospect list, is a standout catching prospect. The 18-year-old, currently playing for the High-A affiliate team in Fort Wayne, has a batting line of .191/.299/.267 with one home run and 24 RBIs this season. Although he has briefly played at the Double-A level, he is focusing on development in High-A.

The Padres also have two other Top 100 prospects, Dylan Lesko and Leodalis De Vries, who will not be participating in the Futures Game.

Salas and Snelling will take part in the Futures Game on Saturday, July 13, in Arlington, Texas, just three days before the MLB All-Star Game.
