Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is eager to join Chelsea this summer as Enzo Maresca’s side has made initial moves to sign the midfielder. The 25-year-old was a key player in Leicester’s Championship-winning season last term, earning the Player of the Season award as the Foxes secured their immediate return to the Premier League.
Enzo Maresca, who led Leicester back to the top flight, was appointed Chelsea’s new head coach in early June, succeeding Mauricio Pochettino, who departed Stamford Bridge after just one season. The Italian coach is interested in reuniting with Dewsbury-Hall in west London. According to The Athletic, Chelsea has already reached out to Leicester to express their interest.
The report indicates that the midfielder is keen on joining Chelsea this summer if he decides to leave Leicester, his boyhood club. Chelsea considers him an ideal fit for the style of football they plan to implement next season under their new coach.
Dewsbury-Hall has also attracted interest from Brighton this year. While he is content at Leicester, where he has spent his entire career, his future remains uncertain as the club grapples with meeting the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations.
