The Michigan football program has been actively recruiting, with wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy playing a key role. Despite some criticism, Bellamy successfully brought top-100 wideout Andrew Marsh to campus for an official visit this past weekend. Although there haven’t been any crystal ball predictions for Marsh yet, Steve Wiltfong of On3.com projected him to Michigan on Sunday, which is significant.
Marsh would be Michigan’s best wide receiver commitment since Donovan Peoples-Jones and Nico Collins, marking the first top-50 wideout or similar talent they’ve landed in a long time.
Another receiver Michigan is pursuing is Phillip Wright, an explosive three-star prospect. Michigan has been leading for Wright since his official visit on June 14th.
Additionally, four-star wide receiver Jacob Washington, who visited Michigan this past weekend, is another prospect trending toward the Wolverines. Washington, a Louisiana native like Bellamy, is ranked 320th overall in the 2025 class. He has received crystal ball projections to Michigan from Steve Lorenz of The Michigan Insider and EJ Holland of The Wolverine. The On3 prediction machine gives Michigan an 82-percent chance of landing Washington, who has also visited Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, and Missouri. This would be another Louisiana player for Michigan, similar to Jasper Parker.
