**JACKSON LLOYD ON ALABAMA**
“Getting an offer from Alabama was surreal,” Lloyd shared. “I always thought about Alabama, but I never really saw myself going there. Now that I have this opportunity, it’s incredible. Coach DeBoer prioritizing me at two different schools is really cool.”
“I like coach Kap (Chris Kapilovic) and the rest of the staff, like Courtney Morgan and coach (Kalen) DeBoer. We have a great relationship.”
“What stood out most about Alabama was their winning culture and their commitment to being the best.”
“The facilities are top-notch, showing how much Alabama invests in their football program.”
“Tuscaloosa was great, with everything conveniently close.”
**OTHER CONTENDERS**
Lloyd’s top six were Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford, Tennessee, and USC. However, it seemed to come down to Ohio State, Alabama, and USC, where he had official visits scheduled. After visiting Ohio State and planning a USC trip, his visit to Tuscaloosa finalized his decision for Alabama.
**RECRUITING RANKINGS**
Lloyd is a four-star recruit on 247Sports, ranked No. 146 overall, No. 16 among offensive tackles nationally, and No. 13 in California. In the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he’s No. 187 overall, No. 19 among offensive tackles, and No. 17 in California for 2025.
**FIT WITH ALABAMA**
Lloyd is Alabama’s offensive line commit for the 2025 class, and the highest-rated among them. He is the fourth California commit for the Crimson Tide in this class, showcasing their strong West Coast connections through general manager Courtney Morgan.
**EVALUATION OF JACKSON LLOYD**
A three-sport athlete (basketball, baseball, football), Lloyd has been all-league in basketball, averaging 15.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks as a junior. He has an 80+ inch wingspan and a desirable frame for colleges. Primarily a left tackle, he sometimes plays on the right side and has even played defensive tackle. He excels at reaching the second level, often overpowering opponents, though he can improve his short-area quickness. Lloyd has a strong mean streak and plays with intensity. Without a true off-season strength program due to baseball, he is expected to make significant strength gains in college, projected as a top-tier tackle at the next level. — Greg Biggins, national recruiting analyst.
