The Chicago Bears may have experienced more changes than any other NFL team over the past few months. Following a 7-10 season, general manager Ryan Poles made significant adjustments.
The transformation began in free agency with the signings of D’Andre Swift, Kevin Byard, and Gerald Everett, along with a trade for receiver Keenan Allen.
The Bears continued to reshape their roster during the 2024 NFL Draft, making five selections, headlined by Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze.
While Williams and Odunze are the standout names from the draft class, the Bears recently received positive news regarding another rookie’s injury timeline.
**Bears News: Chicago Expects OT Kiran Amegadjie On the Field for Training Camp**
Head coach Matt Eberflus announced that rookie OT Kiran Amegadjie is expected to be ready for training camp in late July.
Amegadjie, who has been rehabbing from quad surgery, was a three-year starter at Yale, known for his run blocking, pad level understanding, and leverage. Although he has long arms and moves well as a pass protector, he still needs development in that area. His return to training camp is crucial, as he needs as many reps as possible to adjust to the NFL level.
The Bears selected Amegadjie with the 75th overall pick, demonstrating their confidence in him. While Darnell Wright and Braxton Jones are slated to be the starting tackles in 2024, Amegadjie has a clear path to becoming a swing tackle for the team.
