The Edmonton Elks have announced the addition of Canadian fullback Bruno Lagace to their practice roster, marking his return to the team. Lagace, who hails from Quebec, had previously been released by the Elks on June 1. Despite this, he had the opportunity to participate in two preseason matchups, playing against the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the BC Lions.
Originally selected by the Edmonton Elks in the seventh round of the 2023 CFL Draft, Lagace’s journey has seen him achieve significant milestones. Following his draft, he returned to play for the Montreal Carabins for the 2023 season. During his time with the Carabins, Lagace played a pivotal role in their triumph at the 58th Vanier Cup, solidifying his reputation as a key player. His performance throughout the season earned him the distinction of being named a RSEQ Defensive All-Star.
Lagace’s return to Edmonton underscores the Elks’ confidence in his abilities and potential contributions to the team. His collegiate accomplishments, coupled with his experience in the CFL preseason, position him as a valuable asset for the Elks’ practice roster.
