Lions’ Key Duo Return and Set for Bulldogs Clash Friday

The Brisbane Lions have brought back key forward Eric Hipwood and veteran defender Brandon Starcevich for their Friday night matchup against the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium.

Hipwood returns from a one-match suspension, while Starcevich returns after recovering from a calf strain sustained during warm-up in Round 8 against the Gold Coast SUNS.

To make room for these experienced players, young talents Harry Sharp and Brandon Ryan have been sent back to the VFL.

The Lions’ interchange bench includes Callum Ah Chee, Logan Morris, Conor McKenna, Bruce Reville, and Noah Answerth.

In addition, Harry Sharp, along with ruck-forward Darcy Fort and defender Darragh Joyce, are listed as emergencies.

On Friday afternoon, the Lions and Bulldogs will also compete in the VFL at Mission Whitten Oval, starting at 3:05 pm.
