Essendon’s formidable defender Mason Redman is set to miss the highly anticipated AFL clash against Carlton due to a hamstring strain. Additionally, key forward Kyle Langford’s participation remains uncertain as he needs to prove his fitness.
Redman experienced soreness following Essendon’s loss to Gold Coast on Sunday. Langford was also taken out of the game due to a corked hip.
Essendon announced that their top goal scorer Langford and ruckman Todd Goldstein, who was benched during the Suns game due to an ankle issue, will need to demonstrate their readiness during training sessions to be considered for Sunday night’s match at the MCG.
The Bombers have a bye week following the game against Carlton and are hopeful that Redman will be fit for their round 15 fixture against West Coast.
