The Wolverines have maintained their lead in the Crystal Ball since November, gaining seven of the eight predictions in the last two weeks. Michigan’s commitment to recruiting Gach has been evident for over a year, with Grant Newsome spearheading the effort after Sherrone Moore’s promotion to head coach.
Newsome visited Groves HS on Monday to touch base with Gach before his impending announcement. Michigan is facing competition from Ohio State, Michigan State, and Wisconsin for Gach’s commitment. Ranked 196th overall in the 2025 Top247, Gach draws comparisons to former Wolverine captain Ben Bredeson. Described as a high school offensive tackle with potential versatility at the next level, Gach exhibits tenacity, physicality, and a strong finishing mentality. While excelling as a dominant run blocker, he is still refining his pass set and pass protection techniques.
