Essendon Star Faces Heat from Club Over His Very Controversial Comments About Rivals Bulldogs

Sam Draper has acknowledged experiencing ‘post-podcast anxiety’ following his controversial statements on the 200 Plus Podcast. The Essendon ruckman, who co-hosts the podcast with North Melbourne’s Charlie Comben and journalist Nick Butler, recently shared his views on the Western Bulldogs, suggesting that if Luke Beveridge remains their coach, some players may request trades. While he refrained from naming specific players, he indicated that Bailey Smith might leave the club, stating, ‘He’s gone, everyone knows that.’

Draper’s remarks drew criticism from the football community, with Cameron Mooney expressing that the Bombers would likely be displeased with Draper’s comments, cautioning him against commenting on other clubs.
