As we bid farewell to the 2024 recruiting cycle, our focus now shifts to scouting prospects for 2025 and beyond.
Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns coaching staff have been diligently forging connections with top-tier prospects nationwide, and their efforts are yielding results close to home.
Four-star linebacker Riley Pettijohn of McKinney has garnered offers from premier programs across the nation. However, he recently announced a narrowing of his options to six schools, including Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, Texas A&M, USC, and the Longhorns.
As the spring season rapidly approaches, it’s customary for high-caliber recruits like Pettijohn to finalize their shortlists. Many will use this time to visit campuses during spring practices, providing them with a firsthand look at programs in action. It wouldn’t be surprising if Pettijohn follows suit, visiting potential suitors before deciding on official visits for the summer.
