Notre Dame is poised to add one of the nation’s premier offensive tackles to its roster.

One of the premier offensive tackles in the nation, and a key target for Notre Dame, is poised to reveal his college choice. Owen Strebig, a standout offensive tackle from Waukesha Catholic Memorial in Wisconsin, is scheduled to announce his decision on Thursday, February 8th, at 5 PM ET. Strebig will be choosing among his final contenders, which include Notre Dame, USC, Miami, Florida State, and Wisconsin.

Notre Dame enters this decision with significant momentum, given Strebig’s six visits to the campus, including their recent Junior Day. The Irish have been considered the frontrunners for the Wisconsin native for a considerable period. Notre Dame has a history of attracting top-tier offensive linemen, and Strebig is seen as the next high-profile recruit they are likely to secure. He has garnered attention from some of the most prestigious programs in college football, holding offers from Notre Dame, Michigan, Florida State, USC, Florida, Miami, Penn State, Texas A&M, Missouri, Nebraska, Arkansas, Stanford, Iowa, Wisconsin, Kentucky, UCLA, UCF, Minnesota, Illinois, Purdue, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan State, Duke, and others. Standing at 6-8 and weighing 290 pounds, Strebig is highly regarded in recruiting rankings, being consistently rated as a four-star recruit by major platforms. Rivals, in particular, ranks Strebig as the No. 65 overall player and the No. 6 offensive tackle in the 2025 recruiting class.

Notably, Notre Dame has already secured a commitment from offensive tackle Will Black from Connecticut. The Irish coaching staff aims to assemble a talented offensive line class in 2025, with tackles being a primary focus.
